Ruth Dugdall

Ruth Dugdall is another Felixstowe based author who writes intense psychological thrillers that really get into the heads of her characters. With a background in probation work, she brings a unique perspective to her writing, focusing on the gritty side of human behavior and the justice system.

Her first book, “The Woman Before Me,” came out in 2010 and was a big hit. It’s all about the messed-up relationship between a probation officer and a murderer, diving into themes like guilt, redemption, and how past experiences can mess up your present. This book set the stage for her other works, which all dig into similar themes with lots of attention to detail and psychological stuff.

Her writing style for is tight, with interesting characters and plots that keep you hooked until the very end, oh and again the links to Felixstowe and the surrounding areas gave me that extra buzz.

Her stories make you think long after you finish the last page.
