ROY OF THE ROVERS
Before social media, fantasy football and endless transfer rumours, there was Roy Race. The greatest footballer never to exist, leading Melchester Rovers through title races, cup finals, injuries, kidnappings, unlikely comebacks and enough drama to make modern football look positively sensible.
The Library currently contains 737 of the 851 issues published, making Roy of the Rovers one of the largest collections on the site. There’s still work to do though, and if you can help fill any of the missing gaps in the run, please get in touch. Every issue brings the collection one step closer to completion.
