Verso’s Quizcast

A weekly quiz podcast with sharp trivia, niche rounds, and the occasional guest brave enough to play along.

First three episodes land on 1 January 2026.
From then on, a new quiz drops every Monday at 7am.

What is Verso’s Quizcast?

Verso’s Quizcast is a short, focused quiz podcast:

  • No filler
  • No waffle
  • Just straight-up questions, answers, and a bit of dry commentary along the way.

Each episode runs around 20–25 minutes and is built for the commute, the dog walk, the school run, or hiding in the kitchen with a cup of tea.

Some weeks it’s just me. Other weeks I bring in a guest to share the chaos.

How Each Episode Works

Every episode follows a clear, repeatable structure so you always know what you’re getting:

  • Round 1 – Warm-Up:
    Five accessible general-knowledge questions to get the brain moving.
  • Round 2 – Theme of the Week:
    A deeper dive into a specific topic — music, TV, films, books, comics, travel, sport, nostalgia, and whatever else I decide to throw in.
  • Round 3 – Switch-Up Round:
    The format changes each week:
    • This-or-That
    • Higher or Lower
    • Missing Word
    • Guess the Year
    • 3 Clues, 1 Answer, and more.
  • Round 4 – The Hard Round:
    Tougher questions for people who take this a bit too seriously.
  • Bonus Question:
    One final question worth double points.

Answers are always given in the same episode. No cliffhangers. No hidden “part two”.

When and Where to Listen

Launch date:

  • 1 January 2026 – first three episodes released together.

After launch:

  • Every Monday at 7am – new quiz episode.

Want to Be a Guest?

I’m looking for people who are up for a laugh and happy to be put on the spot.

You do not need to be a quiz expert. You just need:

  • A functioning voice
  • Basic survival instincts under pressure
  • An interest in at least one topic (music, TV, film, books, sport, travel, comics, local history, etc.)
  • The ability to laugh at yourself when the answers appear

Guests can:

  • Join a themed round
  • Bring their own questions
  • Play against me
  • React in horror at the answers

Who’s Behind It?

I’m Verso – quiz host, radio presenter, spreadsheet abuser, and the person responsible for dragging this whole thing into existence.

Verso’s Quizcast pulls all of that into one place: a regular, easy-to-play quiz you can listen to whenever and wherever you want.

How to Play Along

There’s no app, no sign-up, no scoreboard to maintain.

Just:

  1. Grab a pen if you insist on being organised.
  2. Hit play.
  3. Keep your own score.
  4. Argue about the answers afterwards.

If you want to share your scores (or gloat), you can:

  • Comment on the episode post
  • Tag me on social media
  • Or email in your best / worst performances.
