Duggie Batson and ‘Big’ Ernie Barnes are up-and-coming Rugby League players in Rushton. They join Rushton Town RFC and bond quickly with the imposing ‘Ape Man’. However, they later decide to leave Rushton and join Potterdale after a disagreement. Published: 2 April 1982 to 30 March 1985
