Scorcher was a British football-themed comic published by IPC from January 1970 to October 1974. It featured several well-known strips, including Billy’s Boots, Bobby of the Blues, and Lags Eleven, which featured a prison team. Additionally, the Nipper strip was incorporated from Score n Roar, and Hot Shot Hamish made his debut not long after. Some of these stories later appeared in Roy of the Rovers and Tiger.
