Hot Shot Hamish, the man known for having the most powerful shot in the world. Full name Hamish Balfour the story followed the gentle Hebridean giant on his adventures. The comic began in Scorcher in August 1973 before moving to Tiger after a merger. It tells the story of Hamish as he leaves his remote island home to play for Princes Park in the Scottish Premier Division, under the management of Ian McWhacker. Hamish becomes famous for his ability to hit the ball so hard that it often bursts the goal net. His character is portrayed with a powerful frame, always wearing a shirt that is too small and doesn’t reach the waistband of his shorts. The comic also features Hamish’s eccentric father and his pet sheep McMutton as regular supporting characters.
This volume covers the story from 7th January 1978 through to the end of 1981 in the issue dated 26th December.
