DESCRIPTION:I’ve signed up for the Felixstowe Triathlon on 19 July 2026 — the Super Sprint. \n300m swim (12 lengths of the leisure centre pool)\n20.5km cycle (12.74 miles)\n3km run/walk (1.86 miles) \nI will be raising funds for Felixstowe Radio – because what better motivation is there than the town’s own community station?\, oh and helping me lose weight! \nThe cycling will be fine. \nThe swimming… manageable\, as long as I’m still allowed my traditional “rest after every length.” \nThe running\, however\, is the real problem. The last time I ran anywhere was 1986\, while being chased through Ipswich by the West Ham ICF. I haven’t forgotten the lesson: running is best avoided. \nStill\, here we are. \nMore details and the fundraising link will follow soon. I may even blog my training regime.
