Submarine HMS Conquest sinks, with Lieutenant-Commander Mark Kane the sole survivor. The sub is raised, refitted and sent back into service with Kane in command, hell-bent on getting revenge for his old crew and with his new crew wary that he might send them to a watery grave too.
